Let's Learn To Play Ocarina!
Programme Type:
Workshop
Presented by Ocarina House, the workshop aims to spark an interest in picking up the ocarina and learning as a musical instrument. By the end of the workshop, students will be able to play a wide variety of songs from local folk songs to pop songs and animation movie theme songs on the Ocarina.
Â
Ocarina is portable and easy to learn and is a great alternative instrument to recorder, ukulele or guitar. Students will be taught how to read Ocarina tabs and Chinese music notation (jianpu). They will also be exposed to the basic music theory and the 5 music elements. Our sessions are fun and interactive where students will be hands-on and learn through demonstrations. The workshop covers the brief history of Ocarina and the characteristics of the music instrument. Ocarina is an ancient wind musical instrument originated from Italy and is widely popular in Asia. The ocarina exists in various forms ranging from four to twelve finger holes, and to multi-chamber Ocarina.

The programme can be customised to suit the school’s needs, including duration, content, and format. Contact us to discuss how we can tailor the programme to best fit your students and schedule.
