Chinese drumming is an energetic activity that can boost morale and foster team bonding among students through choreographed music routines. It is a collective action and is a great way to bring people together. Presented by House of Music, the workshop aims to engage students in music making through Chinese drumming. Students will be able to play and create their own exciting and rhythmic drum pieces that are suitable for performance. Students will get to form groups and perform in front of each other by the end of the 10-session workshops. They will also learn basic music theory such as rhythm, tempo, and dynamics and how to read music rhythmic scores too.

 

Using an interactive and light-hearted approach, students will be engaged through demonstrations facilitated by the instructor. This workshop will also cover the various characteristics of the music instruments and how we can enhance our performance when we utilize them.
